MYWL eliminated in the National Tournament
The Landsharks dropped their first double elimination game to the HRL Twin Cities by the score of 12-1. Game 2 the MYWL defeated Cincinnati 8-6 in 8 innings. Had to fight back after giving up a grand slam early. After that, Moore carved up the Cincy lineup finishing with 11 strikeouts. After advancing, we were then eliminated by Kalamazoo.

NWLA tournament preview
We know there is no respect for us from most of the NWLA leagues. The thing is, we don't care. We are a league that uses Easton training balls. Yes, Easton training balls. We do this to make the game as close to baseball as possible. With the official wiffleball, it is very difficult to throw the ball all the way to first base from left field with accuracy. We know everyone has us picked dead last or second to last, so it should be embarrassing for any of the teams at the tournament to lose to us shouldn't it?
We know you all have your rankings for the tournament, so here is ours. We will not include our own team.
11. Mequon
10. Huntington
9. HRL
8. Cincinnati
7. Potomac
6. Skibbe
5. Kalamazoo
4. WSEM
3. Griffleball
2. Tampa Bay
1. Freaky Franchise
Sad news about Washburn. We will have them in our thoughts and prayers.
See you in Dublin, Ohio!

MYWL to send team to National Tournament
The MYWL is going to test its talent against the best in the country. We may not win a game or we may win the whole thing. Our main goal is to compete and to see how good the competition is at this level. But don't mistake that to be taken lightly. The MYWL is on a mission to win.
The official team that is making the trip is the Dodgers, last season's champions. The roster could change from day to day, but the league will have a team in Columbus for the big dance. Our league doesn't play even close the same style of wiffleball as the NWLA Tournament. We use Easton training balls and the speed is medium pitch.
We will have a practice and a few scrimmage games with our squad on the week before we depart to set up a pitching rotation and to discover the secret recipe for pulling out the W.
The first official practice game is scheduled for Sunday at 3:00.
